The Precise Repeater Index is an approval-based directory of verified amateur radio and GMRS repeaters across Texas.

It provides accurate, easy-to-find information—including frequencies, offsets, access tones, operating modes, locations, coverage estimates, and current on-air status—to help licensed operators find reliable repeaters throughout the state.

PROGRAMMING GUIDES

Standard Offset Rules

2 Meter Band (VHF)

For 144-148 MHz, the standard offset is ±600 kHz. Repeaters typically use a negative offset, meaning the transmit frequency is lower than the receive frequency.

70 Centimeter Band (UHF)

For 420-450 MHz, the standard offset is ±5 MHz. Both positive and negative offsets are common, depending on regional band plans and repeater configuration.
